Material for 2nd Year Engineering Mechanics Students
Problem Sheets
One set of problems was handed out in class the end of the statics and
equilibrium section of the course
A second set of recommended problems, related to the 2D Rigid Body
Dynamics was handed out in the third term.
This includes the following problems from Merriam and Kraige, Dynamics
(6th Ed.):
6/17, 6/20, 6/26, 6/27, 6/55, 6/56, 6/60, 6/63, 6/102, 6/106, 6/117,
6/128, 6/140, 6/182, 6/183, 6/187, 6/203.

Notes
Earlier editions of these texts are useful too, though the numbering of
the questions changes which might cause some confusion. If you wish to
purchase on of the books, it is recommended you buy the Dynamics
book (Volume 2), since it covers most of the 2nd year dynamics course
and a share of 3rd year also. Volume 1 is a useful reference, but
overall is less important.
