Cheap Servers

I’ve been a fan of LowEndBox type offerings for some time, but lately haven’t been as taken with what’s on offer there. That said, some of the better known cloud providers have LEB type offerings these days.

Scope

For this comparison, I’ve chosen the cheapest option available from each provider. This works for me since what I’m looking for is a minimal server that might be suitable to run a VPN from, and something that works as a backup

Notes

Companies that I’ve used in the past (not for these specific products though) are:

All three offered very good products and services, in my limited experience.

The XenPower VPS is a bit of an outlier in terms of power and cheapness. Otherwise there’s a fair bit of uniformity in the offerings available at the bottom price-point.

Update: came upon a site with a pretty comprehensive listing system for vps offerings https://hostadvice.com
